Special Topic: Supersymmetry> 10-Year Papers
Published November 2011
10-Year Papers | 2-Year Papers
The list of the 20 most-cited papers on supersymmetry over the past decade is dominated by investigations into the implications, constraints, and viability of different supersymmetric models. A few of the highly cited papers discuss supersymmetric theories of gravity—known as supergravity. Others are phenomenological, discussing how supersymmetric particles might appear in different types of experiments under different scenarios.
Discussions of how supersymmetric particles could solve the dark matter problem also appear, particularly in light of the results from the Wilson Microwave Anisotropy Prove (WMAP) that was launched in 2001 and has provided the most accurate measurements of the age and dark energy content of the universe, as well as the most detailed map yet of the cosmic microwave background radiation.

About the 10-year Paper List:
The baseline time span for this database is January 1, 2001-September 26,
2011. The resulting database contained 18,614 (10 years) and 4,648 (2
years) papers. To construct the top 20 papers lists for the past
decade and the past two years, the papers were further narrowed down by the
title keywords "supersymmet*" and "SUSY." This adjustment resulted in the
top 20 papers being selected from a pool of 4,957 (10 years) and 1,147 (2
years).
This information pertains to both the 2- and 10-year papers.
General Information
Reviewing highly cited papers can help to determine what research areas within a Special Topic have had a significant impact over a given period of time. Special Topics lists the 20 most-cited papers over the past decade and over the past two years, based on a set of criteria uniquely tailored to each individual Topic. Details of these criteria are given within each Topic.
By examining highly cited papers over both the past decade and over the most recent two-year period, we can make observations and comparisons regarding long-term trends and more recent activity that has the potential to be the next long-term trend.
What are Special Topics?
Special Topics, from ScienceWatch.com, is designed to complement Essential Science IndicatorsSM from Clarivate in providing citation analyses and commentary for selected scientific research areas that have experienced notable recent advances or are of special current interest.
