Following the latest bimonthly update to Essential Science IndicatorsSM from Thomson Reuters, ScienceWatch.com has produced a listing of the scientists, institutions, countries, and journals that have achieved the highest percentage increase in total citations from the sixth bimonthly period of 2009 to the first bimonthly period of 2010—that is, from December 2009 to February 2010. These entities are singled out as Rising Stars in their respective fields.
