"For the bright future--Bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells with power conversion efficiency of 7.4%," by Yongye Liang and 7 others, Advanced Materials, 22(20): E135-8, 25 May 2010.

Abstract: "The photovoltaic performance of polymer bulk
heterojunction solar cells is studied systematically. Using a new
benzodithiophene polymer (PTB7) and PC71BM, a power conversion efficiency
of 7.4% has been achieved in PTB7/PC71BM-blend film, indicating a great
potential and bright future for polymer solar cells."
This 2010 report from Advanced Materials was cited 37
times in current journal articles indexed by Clarivate
during November-December 2010. During that two-month period, only two
others papers published in the last two years and collected under the main
heading of chemistry (excluding reviews) garnered higher citation totals.
In fact, this report ranked at #10 of 2010's most-cited non-review papers,
according to citations tallied as of late December--a notable achievement,
given that the journal issue was not published until May. Prior to the most
recent bimonthly period, citations to the paper accrued as follows:
September-October 2010: 22 citations
July-August 2010: 6
May-June 2010: 1
Total citations to date: 66

Packaged on a CD that is mailed with each Science Watch issue, the Hot Papers Database contains data on hundreds of highly cited papers published during the last two years. User interface permits searching by author, organization, journal, field, and more. Total citations, as well as citations accrued during successive bimonthly periods, can be assessed and graphed.
