Special Topic: Meningitis> 1- & 5-year Time Series Graphs
Published July 2010
The one-year time series graph of papers shows a fairly steady increase in papers, with some periods of leveling off (2003-2004 and 2006-2007), with a surge of papers published in 2008 and 2009, perhaps coinciding with the research on the importance of factor H-binding protein in meningitis. Citations are higher for older papers, and citations per paper decline in a linear manner, as is generally expected.
The five-year time series graph of papers also shows the upswing of papers in the latter half of the decade. The cites per paper, however, are fairly even, indicating a consistent volume of citations being spread over the time period.
