As of March 1, 2009, the
Essential Science IndicatorsSM from
Clarivate data
were updated to cover an 11-year period, from January 1998 to December 31,
2008. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional
1,876 scientists, 285 institutions, 17 countries, and 120 journals that are
either entirely new to Essential Science Indicators, or new to one
of the database’s 22 fields. ScienceWatch.com presents a
listing of those New Entrants that showed the greatest total citations.
