Between 2005 and 2009, Clarivate indexed 243,121 papers that listed
at least one author address in Canada. Of those papers, the highest
percentage appeared in journals indexed under the heading of
Psychiatry/Psychology, followed closely by Environment/Ecology. As the
right-hand column shows, the impact figure (cites per paper) for
Canada-based researchers in Psychiatry/Psychology was 11% above the world
mark (5.05 cites per paper for Canada, versus the world average of 4.56
cites). In fact, Canada surpassed the world mark in all the fields shown
here, notably in Space Science (64% above the world average), Clinical
Medicine (43% above), and Physics (+40%).
