Between 2005 and 2009, Clarivate indexed 30,276 papers that listed at least one author address in Argentina. Of those papers, the highest percentage appeared in journals classified under the heading of plant & animal science, followed by agricultural sciences and space science. As the right-hand column shows, the citations-per-paper (impact) score in plant & animal sciences for papers featuring Argentina-based authors was 23% below the world average in the field for the five-year period (2.52 cites per paper for Argentina, versus the world mark of 3.28 cites).
